The mission of the Child Placement Care Review Board is to provide and administer Governor-appointed,  volunteer-based citizen reviews which act as an independent monitoring system charged with identification and periodic review of all children in out-of-home foster care placements throughout the State of Delaware. Volunteer citizen review boards review the placement of these children in Delaware to ensure progress towards achieving a permanent, loving home.  Reviews are conducted by 14 committees throughout the state. Invited interested parties can attend a review and are given an opportunity to express their views. Recommendations are made to the social service agencies based on the needs of the child. The CPRB and Family Court advocate for programs and resources necessary to improve the lives of children in foster care.
