Child Care Licensing – New Castle County

The Office of Child Care Licensing is responsible for licensing Family and Large Family Child Care Homes, Early Care and Education and School-Age Centers, Child Placing Agencies, Residential Child Care Facilities and Day Treatment Programs for children and youth.The Criminal History Unit, located in the Office of Child Care Licensing, is responsible for completing criminal history and child protection registry checks consistent with Delaware and Federal laws and Department policies, procedures and regulations.
