Administers state burials of indigent and/or unclaimed dead in Delaware. Advertisement placed in the local newspaper for 3 consecutive days to locate next of kin. Assets of the deceased considered to determine eligibility for this service. Burial is in a particle-board box, within a concrete vault at various sites throughout the state. Outside embalming (i.e. surface preservative powder applied), no viewing.
