Governor’s Advisory Council for Exceptional Citizens

The GACEC advises the Governor, General Assembly, Board of Education and other agencies concerning the needs of individuals with disabilities. As the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) advisory panel for Delaware, the Council monitors programming and provides advice on behalf of students in special education and also students who are gifted and talented.Monitors service needs of individuals with disabilities from birth to death as mandated by the Sate of Delaware.
