Big Brothers Big Sisters offers two programs. In the traditional program, adult volunteers are matched with children ages 6-14 (at time of application) for friendly, supportive, goal-oriented relationships. Once enrolled youth may be matched until 18 years old. Volunteers spend minimally 2-4 visits per month with a child. In the school mentoring program, adult volunteer mentors offer support and assistance to a child 1 hour/week in the school. LGBTQ Mentoring for youth who self identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender or questioning.School-Based Mentoring – volunteer mentors meet with referred students one hour/week in the school. (Not available at all schools.) Site based programs beyond school walls
