The mission of Canine Partners for Life is to increase the quality of life of individuals with physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities or who are in other situations of need. We achieve our mission by providing and sustaining professionally trained service and companion dogs. Service dogs increase the independence of individuals who have physical disabilities by performing physical tasks such providing support while walking, operating light switches, retrieving dropped objects, helping with transfers, paying cashiers and more. Companion dogs provide therapeutic companionship within the home environment. CPL places service dogs nationwide and companion dogs within a 250 mile radius. CPL was among the first service dog organizations in the world to be accredited by Assistance Dogs International.
