Catholic Charities, Inc., a faith-based, social services nonprofit, delivers critical direct care human services to individuals and families in Delaware and Eastern Shore Maryland. We serve anyone in need regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin, or ability to pay. Programs include basic needs services like financial coaching and case management support, financial grants for rent and utility payments in arrears, food assistance programs, and thrift services, behavioral health services including routine and intensive outpatient counseling, addiction recovery support, anger management, domestic violence intervention, and pregnancy counseling, energy assistance through LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program; a Federal program), immigration help, and shelter services. In Kent and Sussex Counties only, Catholic Charities also provides Weatherization Assistance. We also have the only residential maternity home in Delaware for young women, Bayard House; an adult emergency shelter through Casa San Francisco and subsidized rental housing for seniors, Marydale Retirement Village.
