The Division of Prevention & Behavioral Health Services provides children’s behavioral healthcare statewide (CARF accredited). Target population is children under age 18 without insurance or with Medicaid. The service array includes mental health and substance abuse treatment and levels of care including: outpatient, intensive outpatient with aid, behavioral health aide, crisis intervention, day treatment, treatment group home, individual residential treatment, residential treatment, and psychiatric hospital. Clinical Services Management teams work with children/families to plan and integrate individualized services, monitor clinical progress, facilitate transitions across services/providers and implement discharge plans. DPBHS’s focus is on appropriate clinical care in the least restrictive setting.
