CARE Delaware: Caregiver Assistance-Respite-Education is offered by the Delaware Health and Social Services’ Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD). “Caregivers” are family members, friends, adults who help take care of older persons, or older relatives such as grandparents caring for children. One of the services offered within this program is the statewide Caregiver Resource Centers, a partnership between The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) and the Division of Libraries, public libraries and senior centers. Caregiver Resource Centers operate as libraries for videos, books, pamphlets and other materials on caregiving. Materials can be reviewed at the resource centers or checked out for use at home. Some centers have staff on hand on a part-time basis to provide one-on-one assistance to caregivers. For a complete list of resource centers and materials available, go to the Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Disabilities website.
