New Castle County Vo-Tech Adult Continuing Education Division provides services for adults and employers in New Castle County. Academic programs include Groves diploma,ABE, GED, and CEA 3. Apprenticeship, trade extension, drivers’ education and computer courses are offered at Howard, Delcastle, and Hodgson or Marshallton.
The Apprenticeship and Technical training program provides related theory to apprentices and others looking to advance within their career areas. Students who are registered apprentices through the Department of Labor are entitled to attend the technical-related classes free of charge. Students who are not registered as apprentices may enroll in technical courses but are not exempt from tuition and placement testing fees.
The Groves/GED program provides academic training for adults wishing to earn a high school diploma or GED.
Workplace Learning is a service to area employers who are interested in assessing and improving the skill level of their existing workforce. Skills range from basic reading, math and language skills to highly technical skills. Services can be provided at school sites or at the workplace and are customized to the needs of he employers.
